== A week in the life of Alan “The Ace” Telepreneur ==

Communication

Alan understands that communication to his dealers is crucial but that he needs to support those people that are being effective so he has identified his 7-8 top dealers. He checks their daily sales and makes a call to each one of them on a daily basis to see how they are doing, discuss sales and generally motivates them.

Most importantly Alan also emphasises that his dealers do the same with their top dealers and so on down the line.

In addition Alan also puts together a weekly newsletter to his dealers and updates them on his whole down line’s performance, names and praises the top producers and announces the weekly top sales person. Alan also gives a tip of the week as part of his newsletter.

Alan also has built up a database of customers and potential customers and potential dealers and every month sends them an update on products and other developments.

Knowledge

Another pillar of Alan’s success is that he understands the importance that knowledge plays in being a good dealer. He thus hosts a weekly training session for his dealer on any number of subjects including sales skills, product knowledge, administration, promotions, marketing and industry information.

Alan also makes sure he trains his dealers to do training themselves, he “trains the trainer” as he understands that a dealer must be completely responsible for his down-line. In order to stay abreast of the latest product development Alan also attends regular training sessions hosted by Vox Telepreneur on their new products.

Sales

On a daily basis Alan makes his own sales calls to prospective customers and dealers; he gets the people to invite from family and friends and is a member of a sports club, the local Round Table and Lions Club as well as his local Chamber of Commerce.

Lead generation is also done from cold calling from the telephone directory and databases he has built up or bought. He has worked out a good sales patter and he knows not to try to do the sale over the phone but rather tries to get an appointment to see the prospect failing which he gets people to his weekly introductory session.

Alan hosts these events on a Saturday afternoon and has a braai, a few beers and does his presentation before a game of rugby or cricket etc. His wife is a member of their local church so he also has her invite her friends to Monday afternoon tea sessions.

At these presentations Alan ensures that he sells the Vox products and signs people up then and there using his web site. He also makes sure he introduces the Vox business opportunity and signs up at least two dealers per session.

Alan also ensures that his senior dealers host similar events and use him to assist in this process.

Marketing & Promotion

Alan long ago realised the value of good PR and promotion so he pays for weekly inserts in his community paper, school newsletters, local police forum and the like as well as keeping his Vox website up to date and current.

He also sponsors small functions at the local school as well regular street clean ups. More importantly Alan likes to spread good news about how well he and his dealers and doing so he adds this information to his newsletters, emails and promotions.
