Ace Vox Dealer - Job Spec
From Vox Wiki
The purpose of this job spec is to delineate what the ideal “Ace” Vox Dealer should be doing in order to be a roaring success.
However before this can occur the Ace dealer must enter into this game with the view that this is a business, requiring investment in the form of time, effort, advertising, marketing, networking with other people and training.
The Ace must in addition believe in the network marketing concept, with the benefit of residual income as the motivator and must not be naive enough to think that this is a quick rich program but realize that it requires effort and patience.
The Three Basic Actions
Much depends on the individuals own personal drive and purposes for being a Vox Dealer but there are three very simple activities the Ace must be proficient in;
1. How must know how to find, brief and recruit other dealers and actively do this.
2. How must know and be able to sell all Vox products & is doing this well &
3. He must know how to train other dealers and be skilled enough to be able to do this personally, and in groups.''
This is also the sequence of any development done for a dealer or his network.
The Ace does also does not complicate it beyond these three actions.
The Golden Rule
The other crucial policy that all Aces should set themselves is to only invest time, energy and money on those dealers in their down lines that are themselves making the effort and being successful.
In other words invest in those resources, or “Aces” that will give the fastest and best return.
An Ace is not hard to spot; they are the people that think like you do, invest in their business, spend their time and most importantly are actually are expanding their dealer networks and selling product.
Once that is done the task then becomes getting your Aces to identify their Aces and invest and them, and so on until you have Aces producing Aces.
This does not mean one ignores people who are working hard but not producing results; this is the next layer of investment; the potential Ace, that with some help will become your next Ace.
What to Sell
An Ace Vox Dealer will always sell both the product and the business opportunity but like any good salesperson will firstly see which one of these the prospect is most interested in.
Do not promote both offerings at the same time as this may create a mixed message and this produces only confusion and reduces sales.
Chat to the person, explain what you are doing and see what gets their interest first, then sell that. Once they have the product, or dealership, then sell them the other.
Selling the Sizzle
One of the fundamental errors in selling any Telco products that many salespeople make is to try to sell the technology.
Acronyms and technical jargon abound which serves only to confuse the customer.
An Ace will “sell the sizzle not the steak”. In other words the Ace will sell the benefits of the product. At Vox we sell our products as being “an alternative to Telkom”.
One could also sell on being a single telco services supplier where the customer only deals with one company for all voice, data and internet services.
Or you could sell based on the savings that our products provide the end user.
Targeting
Its vital to realise that sales is simply a no’s game; the more people you speak to, the more prospects you will have and the more dealers you will recruit and products you will sell.
There is no shortcut to this and a Vox Ace should contact a minimum of ten people a day.
The undercut to this is having people to speak to; Aces, once they run out of friends, family and colleagues to sell to, use those same people to introduce them to their friends, colleagues and family. That’s the basis of network marketing.
For those sales Aces i.e. those dealers only wanting to sell product the same principle of no’s applies; you must make a minimum of 10 cold calls per day.
You should really as an Ace minimally be signing 1 new dealer per week, and 1 product per week.
Events & Promotions
Events and launches are very good tools to preach to the choir, that is, to promote or launch a new product, to existing customers and dealers who are familiar with the company and its offerings.
However using events and group presentations to promote Vox to totally raw prospects is time consuming and costly and does not give the best return.
When using events to expand your network its best to have 50% of the work already done by your dealers so that the presentation aids them in closing the deal.
Running Your Vox Business
There are some other basic activities that you need to participate in to support the flow of prospects and sales to your business;
1. You should have your own Vox website and keep updating it
2. You should also use search engine advertising i.e. Google adworks etc
3. Spend at least 20% of your commission cheque on advertising to keep the new business coming in.
4. Use the resources and event that Vox sets up and invite your prospects to attend either a Customer OR Dealer presentation.
5. Regularly communicate with your down-line by email / phone to keep them informed, up to date and current with products and offers, the kind of information being passed on should include; • Welcoming new dealers on board
• Target setting • Guidance on use of the Vox website
• Explaining the power strategy and down-line management
• Emphasizing product sales as well as dealer expansion
• Down-line must know that ace dealer always available to help
Practice What You Preach
It’s important that an Vox Ace practices what is preached. This means as an Ace you need to know as much as you can about the Telecoms industry, VOIP, the Internet and products Vox sells as you can.
Secondly you should also use the products that Vox sells so that you can speak from experience, buy your own Vox Phone to be able to use in presentations, have a 3g card etc.
